Philly cheesesteak bites

Ingredients:
 1 green bell pepper, diced
 ½ onion, diced
 2 tbsp butter
 5 oz sirloin, thinly sliced
 12 Provolone or American cheese
 2 sheets puff pastry
 ¼ cup olive oil
 1 tsp cornstarch
 1 egg yolk, beaten
 salt
 pepper
Directions:
1

On medium heat, brown the beef with 1 tbsp butter and season with salt and pepper. Add cornstarch and 1 cup of water and let it cook for 20 minutes on low heat to soften the beef. When done set aside.

2

Cook the diced bell peppers and onions over medium heat with 1 tbsp butter until onions are browned and the peppers are softened. Season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, cut each slice of Provolone or American cheese into 4 pieces.

3

Preheat the oven to 400 F

4

Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut each sheet into 6 equal pieces. Then, put 2 pieces of cheese onto each piece of pastry. Top with 1 tbsp of the onion and green pepper mix, add 1 tbsp roast beef. After that, put 2 pieces of cheese on the beef.

5

Gather the edges of the dough around the toppings and pinch to seal. Place sealed bites in a greased, round baking dish with the seams down and brush the tops with olive oil and egg yolk. Optional: sprinkle with sesame seeds.

6

Bake for 20 minutes.
