Beef in Mushroom Sauce

On days where you can't bother cooking up a complicated meal, it really doesn't get much simpler than a five ingredient Beef in Mushroom Sauce dinner.

Ingredients:
 1 ½ lbs beef, cubed
 ¾ cup red wine
 16 oz can mushrooms, undrained
 8 oz tomato sauce
 3 cloves garlic, minced
 3 tbsp olive oil
 salt
 pepper
Directions:

In a large pot or dutch oven over high heat, add olive oil and garlic and saute until garlic is fragrant.

Add the cubed beef and brown it. Don't worry about cooking the beef as it will cook in the sauce later.

Add the wine, canned mushrooms, and tomato sauce and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper and any additional spices you prefer.

Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer for 30 minutes, covered, until the beef is cooked through.

Serve this dish on it's own or with rice.
