Asian Sweet-Honey Kabobs are the ideal grilling recipe. Grilled veggies, paired with a marinade that is sweet and salty, and keeps everything so juicy.
Substitute any veggies or meat you like with this recipe, I've used this particular marinade on some flank steak and it soaked up the flavors really well too.
To make the honey marinade, combine oil, honey, soy sauce, and pepper in a large bowl. Reserve 2 tbsp of marinade to brush kabobs while cooking. Next, add the chicken, garlic, onions, and peppers in the marinade bowl. Cover and transfer to the fridge and marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Tip: If you are using wooden skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes during this time so they don't burn while grilling.
When the meat is done marinating, preheat your grill to high heat.
Meanwhile, drain the marinade from the chicken and vegetables, and discard the rest. Thread the chicken and vegetables, in any order you like, onto the skewers.
When done with all of the skewers, oil the grill grate. Then, place the skewers on the grill and grill for 12 to 15 minutes, turning and brushing with reserved marinade frequently, until chicken juices run clear. Serve warm.
