This is the type of recipe I like to call an "almost one pot" recipe. It basically comes together in one pot...except for boiling pasta in a different pot. And frankly, that step is so easy (and the pot is so easy to wash) that I don't think it should count as another pot! This pasta is like a psuedo chicken alfredo, without worrying about a roux or anything complicated.
This Creamy Bacon Broccoli and Chicken Pasta comes together in less than 30 minutes so get going!
Bring a pot of salted water to boil on medium heat. Cook spaghetti to Molto al dente or slightly underdone. This is because the pasta will continue cooking in the sauce later so you don't want it fully cooked right away.
In another pan, add butter, bacon, and minced garlic.
Once the garlic is fragrant, add the sliced chicken and season with generous pinches of salt and pepper.
Cook the chicken until cooked through, about 7-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the pieces.
Add the broccoli and more salt and pepper if you like, followed by heavy cream.
Bring this mixture to a boil. Then, add Parmesan cheese and the spaghetti.
Stir to combine and serve with basil on top.
