With Halloween right around the corner, I've been looking for creative ways to entertain. These Spooky Pasta Monsters are a unique dish to serve for Halloween if you're staying home and are sure to impress at a Halloween party.

The best part of this recipe is that you can switch up the sauce to make these Spooky Pasta Monsters fit your party theme. Green Pesto can make them swamp monsters, alfredo can make them mountain yeti's, the possibilities are endless!

Inspiration drawn from Trial and Eater

Yields12 Servings
Prep Time15 minsCook Time15 minsTotal Time30 mins
Ingredients:
 ½ lb angel hair pasta
 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
 2 eggs
 12 small mozzarella balls
 4 dry black olives
 6 green olives, pitted
 salt
 pepper
Directions:
1

Firstly, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain.

2

Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375°F. Then, lightly grease the bottom of a sheet pan with olive oil.

3

In a large bowl, mix together pasta, sauce, and eggs. Season with salt and pepper to your personal preference. Using a fork, twirl pasta into "nests" and place on the sheet pan.

4

Cut the mozzarella in two sides to create "eyeballs" and add 2 (or more!) eyes of mozzarella balls in the center of each spaghetti nest.

5

Bake for 16-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and pasta is lightly browned.
Add additional toppings to decorate, such as two slices of green olives or capers as eyes, and a lengthwise piece of black olive, like a mouth.
