Baked Brie in Puff Pastry

Melted cheese, sweet and tart jam, wrapped up in the crispy golden crust, who can resist that? This recipe couldn't be easier, with only three ingredients but that only makes it all the more delicious!

You can choose different dippers depending on what you like, we chose apples, whole wheat bread slices, and crackers. Serve this at your next party and leave your guests satisfied before the main meal even comes out.

Ingrediants:
 1 round brie cheese
 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  cup flour, for rolling out the pastry
 1 egg, beaten
Optional Fillings:
 jam
 honey
 maple syrup
Dipping Suggestions:
 baguette slices
 crackers
 baked apples

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Either line a baking sheet with parchment paper or prepare a pie plate if you prefer.

Dust your working surface with flour and carefully unwrap your thawed puff pastry. Use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry so that it is big enough to encompass your wheel of brie.

Center your brie wheel on the puff pastry. At this point, you can add any toppings you may like, such as strawberry jam or jalapeno jelly.

Folding the puff pastry up and over the brie, making sure the cheese is completely encased.

Place the whole wheel in the fridge for at least 10 minutes, allowing the puff pastry to become cold again.

When the pastry is chilled, place it on the baking sheet or pie plate and brush with an egg wash.

Bake the brie until the pastry is deep golden-brown, 35 to 40 minutes. Make sure to wait 10 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to firm up a bit.
